Cinemafia Curated Sales

What: A hybrid estate sale, vendor marketplace, and free concert used to increase foot traffic and sales at a private household or business.

Why: Cinemafia Curated Sales is a way to elevate estate sales or block parties held by high-income clients annually. See curated estate sale services such as The Discerning Eye for an example of this type of event business. High-income clients understand that spending on promotion and entertainment increases sales and sale prices at any fundraiser. An estate sale is a fundraiser. We use music and live entertainment to differentiate ourselves from the established estate sales curators as a concert that sells. It grabs attention. It gives potential customers a reason to come in and stay longer, therefore increasing sales potential. In return, Cinemafia exposes its Partnering Talent to new audiences by bringing the music venue setting to the private party industry.

How: By promoting the sale as a free concert or block party. The promotional period begins 60 days before the event, using music scene and yard sale-oriented platforms to cast a marketing net within a 15-mile radius of the hosting property. The client (the person wanting to throw a sale) may invite friends and family to sell at their event to boost inventory. The inventory and its sales are the client’s responsibility. Cinemafia will help plan the inventory layout according to the space. However, Cinemafia’s primary focus is to get potential buyers to show up. Sales are not guaranteed, only an increase in potential buyers. Cinemafia can help provide sales staff (at a higher cost) to handle transactions at the client's request, or they may run the sales transactions as they see fit.

Who: Cinemafia will seek musical acts with vendor businesses (art, food, crafts, etc.) who will get selling space in exchange for playing a 1-2 hour set. These musicians are referred to as Partnering Talent. Partnering Talent receives 100% of its sales at the show. This unique opportunity allows the partnering talent to present their art and business in one curated venue. This is an opportunity for authentic engagement and exposure. Partnering talent is encouraged to sell band merch and collect audience data (emails, phone numbers, social media) at their vendor table.

Each selling concert will also feature a Master of Ceremonies whose interest is gaining exposure for their platforms (think podcasters, influencers, wellness coaches). Their job is to mingle and promote a fun environment while helping funnel sales to the hosting client and the partnering talent. They are paid upfront for their time and do not get a selling table. They are allowed a table with information promoting their platforms or services (they may be a private yoga instructor, for example).

Strategy: To avoid taking away from or impeding the sales of the client's inventory, a maximum of four partnering talents will be allowed. The Master of Ceremonies works as party coordinator for the events of the day(s). Cinemafia ownership will be on-site as a liaison between the hosting client and the partnering talent. Cinemafia ownership will also work in a support role for the Master of Ceremonies.

What does success look like:

For partnering talent, success is a new audience for their music and vendor businesses. They successfully sell products and promote their upcoming shows. They increase followers on social media. They sharpen their performance skills in a relaxed and intimate venue. They profit from their booth.

The Master of Ceremonies walks away with as much content as they can utilize and new followers for their platforms. A successful event helps build their credibility as a personality outside the social media sphere. It also helps them attract new clients for their services to support their media persona.

Cinemafia profits directly from the client in compensation for its marketing efforts and event curation. Each successful event builds the Cinemafia brand, and Cinemafia can create successful music events from the backyard to a full-on outdoor music festival. The marketing efforts for each event benefit both Cinemafia's partnering talent and future Cinemafia Events.

Expectations:

Partnering Talent will commit to promoting the sale as a concert with themselves as featured talent. This means Partnering Talent will repost, share, and accept collaboration invitations made by Cinemafia during the promotional period. Partnering talent will also make themselves available to the Master of Ceremonies for promotional interviews on their platform. While legitimate limitations and exceptions will be considered, Partnering Talent, afraid or unwilling to aggressively promote a show, will be dismissed at the first refusal to collaborate.

The Master of Ceremonies has the same promotional commitments as the partnering talent. They will also be expected to help promote the musical talent of the involved partners in conjunction with Cinemafia’s efforts. The sale is simply a mechanism to create new and unique opportunities to highlight the projects of the partnering talent. The Master of Ceremonies may not be able to showcase all partners involved on their platforms. Still, they will be expected to be familiar with the Partnering Talent to promote them on-site to the audience effectively. The Master of Ceremonies must be committed to bringing their fully engaged personality to the sale, no matter how large the audience may be at any given moment. They should not accept the position if embarrassed by a small, intimate stage.

Cinemafia Ownership is responsible for making the bid, closing the sale, planning the event, and generating a stream of unique marketing content that elevates the exposure of the Partnering Talent, Master of Ceremonies. We make every possible effort to bring them an audience because the audience is also the potential buyer that our hosting client is contracting us to get.

Unique Benefits of a Cinemafia Curated Sale:

  • Vendors increase potential profit by not paying for vendor space.

  • Vendors increase potential profit by not competing against similar vendors.

  • Clients increase potential profit by contacting Cinemafia for an upfront budgeted price rather than giving up a percentage of their sales (as is the practice of other curated events).

  • Clients enjoy a private party atmosphere instead of the dull drum of selling things to strangers. We entertain them.

  • The Master of Ceremonies gets access to relevant talent in the scene while having opportunities to bring their persona into the audience's household.

  • Musicians get content, exposure, and potential followers brought to them while they profit in a vendor capacity.

  • Audiences always see musicians and merch tables at bars, restaurants, and venues, and they see them all over social media. Bringing the audience to a private party elevates the interaction by making it unique. A business-minded, promotion-savvy musician with people skills will succeed in this sitting.

I, ________________, am a business-minded, promotion-savvy, talented artist with the desire to meet and engage with audiences in a unique setting. I have read and understand both the concept and the expectations, and I can’t wait to blow up my platforms about the upcoming show.
